Re: Ryugecin's customs
A short note for iwonwae:
I'm really, really sorry this custom is taking so long. However, I can really only say that a) I'm not as much into TTR as I used to and b) I have a lot of other things going on. I know... it's the same old excuses every time.

4/22/2014 Charting Progress Update
I have been asked by Twister to chart two songs, the names of which are under wraps for now because I'm too lazy to open my PM window as I'm typing this.
Medusa progress: 184 of 231 seconds charted - estimated time remaining: <1 month
The darn time signature changes every three measures are hurting my brain. After this, I'm imposing a new rule: I'm fine with charting hard rock and heavy metal and what have you, but I will generally no longer accept mathcore requests (at my discretion).
Queued songs:
AfroNova - Re-Venge
Mahou No Tobira (Space Maco theme) - a.s.a.
Max 300 - omega symbol [unsure right now]
TBA
TBA

- Random info about the chart:
There's about 1,700 notes in the chart right now. I'm guessing the final chart will have like 2k. Note that this is unique note spots, NOT notes where 2-note chords count as 2 notes. If you went by that metric I'd estimate there will be 2.5k. So that roughly works out to an expected NPS of just under 11. Ouch.

Re: Ryugecin's customs
Iwonwae request complete!
You thought Medusa was bad? Here's another one, only this time it's actually reasonable!
Stream: 12/10 (constant... barrage!)
Chaos: 8/10 (there are patterns! It's visible in EOF, but maybe not on your device...)
Voltage: 12/10 (most of the first minute or so is 14nps sections with maybe 0.5s breaks in between; there's also a few lovely 7nps chorded sections)
BPM: ~215
Notes (chords = 1 note): 1,829
Taps (each note in a chord counts): 2,511
Average NPS: 8.1 (extremely difficult)
Average TPS: 11.2 (ridiculous)
Taps per note: 1.37

Did you actually download and play the chart, or did you just see those statistics and then gag?Marksman wrote:No idea what you had in your mind while charting this ridiculous chart :pryugecin wrote:Iwonwae request complete!

Re: Ryugecin's customs
I tried it out. Even using two fingers per lane could not get through those blasts XD Was thinking of making a video, but that went out the window very quickly :pryugecin wrote:Did you actually download and play the chart, or did you just see those statistics and then gag?Marksman wrote:No idea what you had in your mind while charting this ridiculous chart :pryugecin wrote:Iwonwae request complete!

Re: Ryugecin's customs
Someone made a video for medusa
The comments consisted of various people cursing at me
Also, angel specifically said to make it difficult, so I didn't hold back... At all

Re: Ryugecin's customs
PrinceOfTTR made the video :p Considering how ridiculously difficult that chart was, the cursing should have been someone expected :p But it's alright bro, I'll consider this chart a challenge to try and FC, though it's gonna be as hard, if not harder, than FC-ing uber juice with all the blasts and what not.ryugecin wrote:Someone made a video for medusa

Re: Ryugecin's customs
I'm not sure how difficult this chart is compared to medusa... that's sort of my magnum opus. Although i think this one's doable...Marksman wrote:PrinceOfTTR made the video :p Considering how ridiculously difficult that chart was, the cursing should have been someone expected :p But it's alright bro, I'll consider this chart a challenge to try and FC, though it's gonna be as hard, if not harder, than FC-ing uber juice with all the blasts and what not.ryugecin wrote:Someone made a video for medusa

I''m not the most skilled of players, but I'm sure I can succeed in The Burning Halo to some extent. It is rather doable compared to Medusa really

Re: Ryugecin's customs
Sorry for double post:
Fairly apt, I think... and on the vid, it *looked* reasonable. Good luck in your FC attempts!

Re: Ryugecin's customs

With Medusa out and available to the masses (please post feedback here! please!), my focus turns to my newest project: DDR megaminipack. I say mini because the songs themselves, per standard DDR tradition, are all about 1/2 to 1/3 the length of a normal song. However, it's a megapack because I have a bunch of songs planned.
The nice thing about DDR songs is that I already have a pre-defined beatmap to work with so I don't have to beatsync, which takes a LOT of time out of charting. In addition, the predefined stepfiles serve as a nice starting point from which to base ideas. Finally, for some reason, at least to me, DDR songs usually "feel good" to my charter's sixth sense, and as such are rather pleasant to chart.
The songs planned are AfroNova, Mahou no Tobira, Max 300, and probably five to seven others that I haven't decided on yet. Of course this is all subject to change, but if you have ideas for this megaminipack, feel free to suggest them. Goodness knows I could use a lot of ideas.
Disregarding that, I'll now examine the request queue. The only two things I have are both from Twister. I can't say when those will be out partially because I'm really excited about the DDR pack.
As far as activity goes, I haven't really seen anyone around. I don't know what the deal is with TTR, if it's still worth my time. Currently I'm leaning towards yes. Introspection may reveal a different answer in time, but for now it's a yes.
Thanks.

Re: Ryugecin's customs
I think what I did would count as a "cheater'"'s kind of roll technique, where instead of doing two fingers on separate hands I use two fingers on the same hand and just press and hopefully nail all of it. That's not skill, and I'm ashamed XD Also prior to vidding I was surprised there was actually notes in the holds, but I'll gone through that before, so I guess it was much easier to tap it in time before it registered as a miss :p Your welcome though~ryugecin wrote:Marksman wrote:Vided your chart, though it wasn't really an FC, I hope you don't mind

If you're not using Ryugecin's theme then you're going to have to edit the info.plist of the track file to TTRDJ, which will use the default theme of Tap Tap HardcoreIwonwae wrote:My score is like 200,000 below urs cus that only I'm able to get it working on ttr
